At FarmLytics, we believe that the future of British agriculture lies at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and transparent storytelling. Our mission is to empower farmers, processors, and retailers by transforming raw data into insightful, actionable intelligence that drives smarter decisions, stronger market positioning, and authentic connections with consumers.

With a unique blend of hands-on farm management experience, deep retail sector insight, and advanced expertise in carbon accounting and environmental benchmarking, we offer a holistic consultancy approach tailored to the complexities of today’s agricultural landscape.

Our team has a proven track record of integrating environmental performance with financial viability, quantifying greenhouse gas emissions, resource use, and biodiversity impacts alongside rigorous cost and efficiency analysis. Having worked closely with farmers, supply chain partners, and policy frameworks, we bridge practical on-farm realities with strategic market and regulatory demands. This enables us to benchmark performance, design targeted improvement strategies, and position clients to access funding, enhance market positioning, and build long-term resilience.

About Me.

I’m Rachel Gascoigne, an agriculture professional with a background in livestock supply chains, farmer engagement, and sustainable sourcing. Over my career I’ve worked across consultancy, industry bodies, and retail, helping farmers and businesses turn strategy into practical, measurable outcomes.

While in retail, I lead the livestock sourcing strategy across multiple species, working with farmers, suppliers, and industry partners to deliver on commitments around sustainability, welfare, and innovation. That experience has shown me the power of combining on-the-ground farming knowledge with data and insights to build supply chains that are both resilient and future-fit.

While working with a levy board, I worked on a government funded project. This initiative, aimed to improve dairy herd health and welfare across 500 dairy farms over five years. My role combined project leadership with hands-on farm engagement — from developing herd health plans with farmers and vets, to focusing on antimicrobial reduction and preventative care. While managing financial forecasting and data collection, ensuring that insights translated into practical actions farmers could apply to boost profitability and welfare on their farms. This role strengthened my ability to bridge long-term strategy with day-to-day decision-making on farm.

While consulting on carbon footprints, I managed multi-species sustainability projects across the UK. My responsibilities spanned staff training, client liaison, project delivery, and data analysis — all with the goal of helping farmers and supply chains understand and reduce their carbon footprint. I worked closely with external suppliers and farming groups to design bespoke reporting tools, providing actionable insights that supported continuous improvement. This role gave me invaluable experience in agricultural sustainability, as well as the chance to work directly with farmers to implement changes that balanced efficiency, welfare, and environmental impact. It also allowed me to sharpen my skills in business development and cross-functional collaboration within the agricultural sector.

What excites me most about FarmLytics Consulting is the chance to bring together farmers, technology, and data-driven solutions to tackle the challenges facing agriculture today. I’m passionate about turning insights into action — supporting farmers, processors and retails to make informed decisions that improve productivity, profitability, and sustainability across their businesses.
